Mark has over 15-years’ experience in leadership consulting and organisational development, including a decade working in London at senior levels in large, blue-chip global companies.  He has worked with leaders to improve organisational performance across a range of sectors including financial services, energy, retail, telecommunications, FMCG, building and construction. 

His primary focus is helping organisations build the capability required to achieve long-term goals.  This has included, but is not limited to: talent strategy, assessment and working with executive teams to understand and addresses the cultural drivers of organisational performance. In addition, he specialises in senior leadership team effectiveness, linking personal development with the establishment and achievement of strategic goals. 

As well as working for a global leadership consultancy, Mark spent two years at Barclays bank, where he successfully led leadership interventions in the UK retail division.  Mark first worked with Jo over 10-years ago, while developing internationally recognised leadership development programmes at the Royal Bank of Scotland.  More recently, he has collaborated with her during her time as Head of Organisational Development and Leadership at Fletcher Building.

Mark commenced his career in the public service as a Clinical Psychologist, operating both in New Zealand and abroad, where he worked at both the Maudsley Hospital and Kings College.  This provided a strong practical and theoretical foundation that enables individuals he collaborates with to develop meaningful self-insight, personal change and growth.  Outside of work, he devotes what little spare time he has to his partner, three young children and his passion for food, wine, the sea and snow.

Roz specialises in leadership and change and is dedicated to supporting leaders and teams optimise their individual and collective impact on the performance of their organisations and those in their care. In conjunction with one on one and team coaching, Roz also advises organisations on practical steps for shifting and sustaining a culture that is change ready and able to effectively adapt to always evolving imperatives and challenges.

Roz began her career in education which included time in Malaysia preparing Muslim students selected for 3 year scholarships to American State Universities for life in the US. These were a series of 3 month programs aimed at setting expectations around social norms and providing skills for adapting to an environment which was a world away from their own.

After returning to New Zealand, Roz changed direction and began her career in organisational behaviour and change working in Australia, UK and NZ. Now with over 20 years’ experience in public and private sector consulting projects, Roz has worked with leaders at all ‘ages and stages’ encountering a diverse range of business driven challenges. Her work has included designing and facilitating long-term leadership programs for adapting to and leading change in para military, retail, professional services and utilities organisations. The program has been independently assessed and has an 87th percentile impact rating when compared to similar programs in Fortune 500 companies.

Other experience includes being an ongoing member of a private equity due diligence team, providing advice and a risk assessment related to key people and their capability, organisational culture and the structural investment required for growth.

Principal Consultant

From the UK, Paul become a business psychologist in 2005 following 20 years in Managing Director and marketing roles in a number of international companies.  In 2005 he joined the same global leadership consultancy as Mark, supporting the capability agenda at numerous blue-chip organisations. He is particularly experienced at assessing and developing senior leaders at an individual level, having worked with over 1000 of them across a range of sectors and functions.

Since moving to NZ with his Kiwi wife in 2012, Paul continued his partnership with Mark on a number of clients and has been a Principal of D&Co since its inception. He also partners with Ottmann Global Partners, a European business psychology consultancy and is a Director of an export and marketing company in NZ.

His clients find his style thoughtful and reflective, and that he provokes deep insight.  His management experience makes his support grounded in business reality, and his marketing background enables him to link insights to commercial goals. He aims to achieve a deep understanding of what lies behind a track record and reputation, to lay the foundations for further professional growth and greater strategic impact.  His strategic and commercial acumen combined with his seasoned approach has made him a valuable advisor to Boards in gathering feedback for and supporting CEO’s.

Joanne Nicol

Jo is one of New Zealand’s most successful, dynamic and strategic Organisational Development professionals. She has worked at senior management levels in New Zealand, Australia and the UK, where she led award-winning change programmes whilst working for the Royal Bank of Scotland as Head of Organisational Change and Head of Customer Service. As Global Organisation Development Manager for Fletcher Building, she led culture and capability improvements for 19,000 people in 40 countries. 

The Fletcher Building Organisational Development team, led by Jo, won several highly-coveted international awards. These included the Fortune 500 Best Leadership Development (International category (2015)) and the international business school EFMD award for most innovative executive development in partnership with Auckland University (2014).

She is also the newly appointed Development Director for NZ Global Women, delivering leadership programmes that accelerate female leader’s performance and success.  In 2016, her team won the Diversity NZ award for the talent force youth employment initiative and the ATEED award for mentoring youth leaders. 

Jo is a Harvard Business School short-course graduate, an International Coaching Federation (ICF) coach and NZ Global Women Breakthrough leader alumni.  In 2015, she was awarded NZ HR Specialist and HR Person of the year by HRINZ. She is a catalyst for change, committed to creating organisations that value leadership, sustainable commercial growth and positive community contributions.  She also delights in being a mother of two energetic children.

Faye brings over 20 years’ experience in supporting the transformation of companies through the development of strategic enablement of diverse workforces and leadership groups. Working across all elements of HR and OD to drive business outcomes.

She has a passion for making a difference; for the long-term through a strategic perspective and approach, and in the short term through pragmatic, practical and impactful implementation and tactics. Making an impact to and through individuals, as well as through the systemic people and process dimensions of a business. 

She has experience across a broad range of sectors, including financial services, manufacturing and public sector, Faye is skilled at creating a compelling case for change and coaching and developing senior executives and business leaders to execute. Focusing on working with CEO’s and executive teams to build culture and cohesion at all levels of the business. Her style encourages personal connection and authenticity, ultimately delivering outcomes through engagement.
